The NHS once provided home care for the elderly. Because the service has been privatised, the wartime generation are now subjected to stringent means testing to enable private home care companies to profiteer. Why should those that fought for this country face such a demeaning process, to pay for a service they have already paid for in National Insurance Contributions?  It’s morally wrong and should be a national disgrace.
